The Parade of Ideas: Our ideas don't wander, they work!
On May 19, 2007 KUHNYA has awarded the most successful community projects of the city of Novosibirsk. The Parade of Ideas stimulates the creativity of individuals, groups and organizations and challenges anybody with new initiatives to brighten up the city with a small grant and administrative support of KUHNYA. Moving Poetry
Posters with 80 masterpieces of world famous poets to be printed and exhibited in Novosibirsk Metro trains to attract attention of Novosibirsk citizens.
Student Performance "The Hard- hearted Birthday"
The project idea is "presenting" the brilliant and ingenious Saint Petersburg performance "The Hard-hearted Birthday" to the city of Novosibirsk through the students of Novosibirsk Theatre Institute. The premiere is to be played "in four hands" - by the Saint Petersburg theatre stars Alexander Bargman and Irina Polyanskaya and Novosibirsk theatre students. Every year the fourth-year students will "hand down" the performance to the third-year students so that it will become a new theatre city tradition. It will be played in the Novosibirsk student theatre "Pulya" and other spaces - like "Brodyachaya sobaka" club.
New website for the theatre "On the Left Side of the River"
It is the only theatre situated on the left bank of the city and aims at a working and not experienced theatre public. The theatre is active in the reforming of the repertory theatre and local art policy and needs the web-site to attract a young audience.
Cartoons of old Novosibirsk Newspapers (1920-1930)
These Soviet cartoons give a fresh view at the key and dramatic moments of the Russian history and rouse young people's new interest to the historical period. Digital presentations and mobile exhibitions in local schools, libraries, universities.
Living books
We print the text of a literary work on sports shirts - the indivisible text, where every participant "plays" a "page". The participants wear the shirts on the streets for performances, interactive games with street walkers to stimulate 'public reading'.
Art Periphery
The poetry group "Shoroho" is printing flyers containing poems of young Novosibirsk authors and pictures of young designers and artists, distributing them in cafes, bars and shops and arranging performances with videoshows and recitations.
Big Dance
The dance school "Dance atelier" will present a dance festival on the streets in the center of Novosibirsk for 1 day. Hundreds of spectators will turn into audience or dancers at the same time. It will demonstrate to young citizens that there is a creative alternative to pottering around with beer and chips.
"Emotions+" (Novosibirsk is a positive city)
The best Novosibirsk designers will produce 16 postcards, illustrating their positive emotions: Joy, Happiness, Love, Excite, Goodness, CuriosityÉ combining them with 16 new slogans such as: "WithÉ(Joy, Love etcÉ) from Novosibirsk". The circulation is 8000 to be distributed free of charge. This project wants to get rid of the "gloomy" and negative image of Novosibirsk and create a positive impression of the city.

Flash-performance for Novosibirsk childrens homes: masterclasses, presents, shows run by students who will throw parties in several orphanages to teach kids funny things like origami, dancing, aerobics etc.
Storytellers
Master class on documentary photography by the well-known Russian photographer Sergey Maksimishin (Saint Petersburg). The project successfully meets the needs for professional photo education that is totally lacking in Novosibirsk and almost not available for professionals and amateurs without leaving the city.
Young Family Handbook
This handbook contains practical information for young families on law, realty, finances, job opportunities, health centers for support mothers and children, family planning, recommendations how to receive children benefits, etc and will be printed and distributed in the Central Park free of charge on the Childrens Day (June, 1st).
"Novaya Sibir" Newspaper - Exhibition of Political Cartoons "Laughing - not Fearing".
A nation afraid to laugh at their rulers will turn into a crowd. This mobile exhibition of political cartoons reflects local political processes and plots and will be presented on the open air event in the center of Novosibirsk on the City Day as well at other venues in Novosibirsk and Siberia .
